Skin Needling
Medical-grade skin needling "Collagen Induction Therapy" (CIT) , uses ultra-fine, medical-grade needles to create thousands of tiny punctures to the skin, stimulating a natural wound-healing response that results in the formation of new collagen and elastin. New collagen production can continue for up to 12 months, resulting in an improvement in skin firmness and texture and a softening and lifting of scars and stretch marks. Skin Needling can also be used to diminish the appearance of pigmentation and sun damage, as well as improve uneven skin texture and stretched pores.
At Miss Aesthetics, we have a Medical clinic only Device called 'Skin Pen' which is the industry leader in CIT.
Skin needling can be performed with a slip product only, or combined with serums and Bio-stimulaters to enhance the results.
A course of three is recommended, at 4-6 week initials, then a maintenance session every 6-12m months depending on your skin goals.
Topical Local Anaesthetic can be used to ensure the treatment is pain-free.
PRP
PRP refers to platelet-rich plasma. This is a component of your blood that’s rich in white blood cells and growth factors. This 'Liquid Gold' can be injected back into the skin to help regenerate skin cells that have changed with the aging process. this is a fantastic for those not wanting to go down the filler route, or those whose aunt good candidates for fillers in the peri-orbital region.
This treatment is usually combined with Medical depth skin needling to enhance the efficacy of both treatments, known as the 'Vampire Facial'.
Plasma Fibroblast skin tightening
The Plasma pen (fibroblast) is an advanced medi-aesthetic treatment, addressing a variety of skin concerns. The plasma pen has the ability to tighten the skin, remove blemishes, unwanted age spots, skin tags, warts, scar tissue and keratinized lesions. It also targets premature signs of ageing and improves deep set wrinkles and lines around the eyes and lips caused by environmental damage and UV exposure. Treatments include: Skin tightening around eyes; General wrinkles on face; Sagging skin; Frown lines; Uneven skin; Loose skin on jaw and neck; Skin tags/sun spots/spider veins, mole removal., cyst removal and Milia removal.
Depigmentation Treatments - Cosmelan and Dermamelan
Cosmelan and Dermamelan, are a depigmentation agent that is used to treat skin conditions such as melasma, chloasma, lentigo and post-inflammatory hyper pigmentation. Cosmelan and Dermamelan depigmentation is a non-surgical cosmetic treatment to reduce the skin blemishes caused by Melasma and provide the skin a rejuvenated and brighter look.
The method is a unique combination of active ingredients of proven efficacy that provides it with a unique and dual action for a short- and long-term outcome. To the question “is it a peel?” we answer: yes, but it goes far beyond that! A standard peeling is a treatment that acts on the surface of the skin by chemically eliminating the top layers and contributing to its renewal. Chemical peels deliver high concentrations of exfoliating acids to the skin to brighten the complexion, even skin tone and to improve the appearance of spots and wrinkles. In the case of patients with dark spots, a peel can help fade the spots but the blemish will appear again if the mechanisms that produce it are not treated. The cosmelan/ Dermamelan method visibly removes and attenuates spots (just like a peel) but it most importantly provides a regulating action as it corrects the overproduction of pigmentation to prevent the spots' reappearance. While peelings act on the surface of the problem, cosmelan/ Dermamela treatment targets the origin.
Cosmelan is suitable for relatively new hormonal or sun induced pigmenttion, whereas Dermamelan is targeting for deep and dark pigmentation that has been present for a significant period of time.
